Estrich to discuss sex, power

Law professor and political commentator Susan Estrich will speak on
campus Wednesday, March 28, as part of Women's History Month.
Estrich, professor of law and political science at the University of
Southern California, will speak on "sex and power" at 8 p.m. in
the Memorial Union Sun Room. A reception and book signing will follow her
talk.
Estrich became the first woman to head a national presidential campaign
when she directed Michael Dukakis' election bid in 1988. She also was
first woman president of the Harvard Law Review. Her books include
Real Rape, Getting Away with Murder: How Politics is Destroying the
Criminal Justice System and the recently published Sex and
Power.
Estrich is a frequent guest on national news programs, including Firing
Lineand 60 Minutes,and a commentator for Fox News.
While on campus, Estrich also will meet informally with students and
participate in the presentation of the Carrie Chapman Catt Prize for
Research on Women and Politics.
