Receptions
Sandra Deppe
Sandra Deppe, secretary for Parent's Association in the
Dean of Students Office, will retire Jan. 5, 2001. An open
house will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12,
in 1010G Student Services.
Bill Boon and Robert Harvey
The department of landscape architecture will hold a
retirement reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, in
the Memorial Union Cardinal Room for professors Bill Boon and
Robert Harvey. Harvey retired in June 1999 after 31 years at
Iowa State. Boon will retire Dec. 31 after 26 years at Iowa
State.
Shirley Calhoun
A retirement open house for Shirley Calhoun, electrical
and computer engineering department secretary, will be held
from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15 in 2215 Coover. She has been
with the university 13 years.
Howard Shanks
A retirement reception for Howard Shanks, associate
director of the Microelectronics Research Center, will be
held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, in the auditorium of
Applied Sciences II (off Scholl Road).
Richard Grieve
A retirement reception for Richard Grieve, interim
director of the Center for Industrial Research and Service
(CIRAS), will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, in
the Howe Hall atrium. A short program will begin at 3 p.m.
Grieve has worked at Iowa State for 15 years.
