Forums solicit criteria opinions

Students, faculty and staff are invited to open forums to discuss criteria that will be used to identify and evaluate prospects for the Iowa State presidency. Three forums are scheduled in the Memorial Union:

A subcommittee of the presidential search committee has drafted pro-posed criteria for evaluating presidential candidates. That proposal, along with input from the forums, will be used by the search committee Sept. 15 when it meets to develop criteria that will be submitted to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, for final approval.

In addition to open forums, the campus community may make suggestions on the search criteria by e-mailing David Hopper, chair of the Subcommittee to Develop Criteria, 103 Lab of Mechanic, dlhopper@iastate.edu, by Friday, Sept. 1.

The next meeting of the Presidential Search and Screen Advisory Committee will be 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 15, in 115 Office and Lab Building.
