Q: When is the parking area going to be painted or improved at the Iowa State Center? We can't see the lines to park out there.
A: The Iowa State Center parking lot is scheduled for a major ($1.5 million) resurfacing this summer. Work should begin in early summer. Approximately 75 percent of the lot will be resurfaced. The "D" sections furthest to the east are in the best condition and are not part of this project.
The lot will be repainted as part of this project and roads through the center parking lots also will be improved. The work will be phased so that there always will be parking available at the center.
