Regents Wrap-Up
At its monthly meeting Feb. 10 in Iowa City, the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, authorized WOI Radio officials to seek approval from the Federal Communications Commission to provide educational FM radio service in the Spirit Lake and Carroll areas. Non-staffed repeater stations, when constructed, would provide the radio service, with coverage coming from KTPR Radio in Fort Dodge, which WOI Radio acquired earlier this winter.
In other business, the regents approved revised FY2000 budgets for the regents schools.
