Former King's Singers is music department artist-in-residence

Simon Carrington, co-founder and former lead singer of the King's Singers, will give a lecture Friday, Feb. 18, and direct the ISU Honor Choir Festival Saturday. Carrington, director of choral activities at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, was an artist-in-residence with the Iowa State music department last week. The lecture "From King's to Kansas" will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Tye Hall, Music Building. The annual ISU Honor Choir Festival, featuring high school choirs selected in statewide competition, begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, in Stephens. Tickets are $5 and available at the Iowa State Center ticket office and TicketMaster locations.
