Deaths

Edith Sunderlin
Edith Sunderlin, professor emeritus of human development and family studies, died Jan. 18 in Ames of heart failure. She was 98. Known as the "Storybook Lady" on WOI Radio during the '40s and '50s, she served on the ISU faculty from 1934 to 1967. Memorial gifts may be made to the ISU Foundation and directed to the department of human development and family studies.


Zola Clapp
Zola Clapp, 78, died Jan. 18 of a heart ailment in Ames. She was a retired (1985) cook with ISU Food Service.


Annabelle Gade
Annabelle Gade, a retired nurse (1975) from the ISU Health Center, died of cancer Jan. 19 near Kelley. She was 90.


Paul Larson
Paul Larson, 82, died Jan. 24 in Ames of lymphoma. He had been a construction worker with Iowa State before retiring.


Kathie Berrett
Kathie Nelson Berrett, 47, died Jan. 28 in Ames of an aneurysm. She had worked as a clerk typist for Iowa State.


Hilma McCormick
Hilma McCormick, 83, Madrid, died of cancer Jan. 27 in Des Moines. She had worked at Iowa State before retiring.


Audry Meimann
Audry Meimann, 71, Boone, died of complications of cancer Jan. 31. He worked for in facilities, planning and management from 1981 to 1991.
