Chocolate tally

The pretty foil-wrapped, heart-shaped box may seem innocuous -- simply a heart-felt expression of affection from your significant other. But you're going to need to do 30 minutes of moderate exercise to burn off each 300 calories (from three to five pieces) you consume.

You might want to drop a few hints about "weight-less" alternatives, such as flowers, a CD of romantic music, a long walk for two, a gift certificate for a massage or a basket of herbal teas, cocoas and biscotti.

Then again, a "little" chocolate never hurt anyone.
