John Helmuth
John Helmuth, former director of international programs
at the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development, died
Nov. 24 in Kansas City of a heart attack. He was 55.
Jeannette "Jan" Korslund
Jeannette "Jan" Korslund, retired faculty member (1990)
in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, died Dec. 29
in Ames of heart failure. She was 72. Memorials may be made
to the Mayo Clinic Foundation or the Jan Korslund Scholarship
Fund at Iowa State.
Elwin "E.R." Duncan
Elwin "E.R." Duncan, professor emeritus of agronomy and
retired Extension agronomist (1971), died Jan. 4 of heart
failure in Bella Vista, Ark. He was 85. Memorials may be sent
to the Agronomy Department Scholarship Fund at the ISU
Foundation.
William Riley
William Riley, distinguished professor emeritus of
mechanical engineering, died Jan. 6 of a heart attack in
Ames. He was 74.
Angelina Grove
Angelina Grove, a retired secretary with Iowa State, died
Jan. 7 in West Des Moines of a respiratory ailment. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Iowa.
Gerald Parks
Gerald Parks, retired professor of industrial education
(1985), died Jan. 7 of cancer in Ames. He was 76. Memorials
are preferred to the Israel Family Hospice House, Ames, or
the American Cancer Society.
Thelma Krock
Thelma Krock, a retired secretary with Iowa State, died
Jan. 10 in Madrid of complications of Alzheimer's disease.
She was 75. Memorial contributions may be made to the
Cambridge United Methodist Church.
