Q. What's the least and the most students Iowa State has ever enrolled?
A: Iowa State enrolled the fewest students in its opening year; just 68 students attended classes in the fall of 1868. The college boon years of the 1980s topped out in the fall of 1985, when 26,529 students enrolled at Iowa State.
