Vic Bekkum
A retirement reception for
Vic Bekkum, ag and biosystems engineering, will be held from 2 to
4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, in the Mahlstede Building, Reiman Gardens.
Mary Howard
A retirement reception for Mary Howard, academic adviser for the art and
design department, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, in the
College of Design atrium. Howard has been with the university for 18
years.
Norma Seifert
A retirement reception for Norma Seifert, administrative specialist in
the purchasing department, will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec.
15, in the first floor atrium of the Administrative Services Building.
Seifert has been with the university since 1983.
Delwyn Bluhm
A retirement reception for Delwyn Bluhm, manager of R&D Engineering
Services at Ames Laboratory, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec.
15, in 301 Spedding. Bluhm has been at Ames Laboratory since 1961.
Karen Tow
A farewell reception for Karen Tow, associate executive director of the
ISU Alumni Association, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, December
15, in the Memorial Union Cardinal Room. A short program will begin at 3
p.m. Tow is leaving the alumni association after 20 years to become the
chief operating officer for the University of Illinois Alumni
Association.
Bernie White
A retirement reception for Bernie White, university professor of
biochemistry, will be held from 2 to
4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, in the Molecular Biology Building atrium. A short
program will begin at 3 p.m. White has been on the ISU faculty for 30 years.
Letters for a memory book should be sent by Dec. 13 to Stacey Poling, 1210
Molecular Biology.
Melva Berkland
A retirement reception for Melva Berkland, communications specialist
with Extension Communication Systems, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 16, in the Memorial Union Campanile Room. A brief program
will begin at 3:30 p.m.
Sandy Kalsem
A retirement come-and-go coffee for Sandy Kalsem, secretary in the
Contracts and Grants office, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17,
in 221 Beardshear. Kalsem has worked at the university for 22 years, the
last 12 in the Contracts and Grants office.
Carole Seifert
A retirement reception for Carole Seifert, secretary in Extended and
Continuing Education, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, in the
Brunnier Art Museum, Scheman Building. A short program will begin at 3:30
p.m. Letters for a memory album should be sent by Dec. 16 to Laurie Vold,
102 Scheman. Seifert has worked for Extended and Continuing Education since
1984.
William Thomas
A retirement reception for William Thomas, an electronics engineer at
Ames Laboratory, will be held from
2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, in
301 Spedding. Thomas has been at Ames Laboratory since 1963.
