Q. Is gift giving allowed among ISU employees during the holiday season?
A. Yes. Within departments and offices, gifts of moderate value may be mutually exchanged, including between supervisors and those they supervise. However, supervisors and supervisees need to make certain gifts they give and receive cannot be viewed as intended to curry favor. Monetary gifts are discouraged. ISU employees not in a position to give or receive university benefits from peers should feel free to exchange gifts with them.
