Friday, April 16
- 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Cherry pie sales, $1, 16 MacKay.
- Noon1 p.m., Faculty cook-off, free, central campus.
- 5 p.m., Opening ceremony, central campus.
- 7 p.m.-2 a.m., Taste of Veishea, food vendors, games, Welch Avenue.
- 7 p.m.-2.m., Performances, "Taste Stage," local and regional bands, free, Welch Avenue.
- 7-10 p.m., Talent show, Harambee ("Unity"), student talent show, open stage, free, Great Hall, Memorial Union, 4-9891.
- 7:30 p.m. Performance, Stars Over Veishea, Anything Goes, $13-$15, Stephens.
- 9 p.m., Concert, "Veishea Center Stage" with Goo Goo Dolls, Dovetail Joint and New Radicals, $15 faculty-staff ticket (limit 2), Hilton.
- 10 p.m.-2 a.m., Dance party, Harambee, $3 with '70s costume, $5 without costume, Great Hall, Memorial Union, 4-9891.
Saturday, April 17
- 7:30-11:30 a.m., Pancake breakfast, with "Chris Cakes," $4 (children $3), central campus.
- 8 a.m.-2 a.m., Taste of Veishea, see April 16.
- 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Veishea Village, department open houses, Cy's Big Top activities for children, cultural stage, free, central campus.
- 10 a.m.-4 p.m., International Food Fair, $2 (includes four food tickets), Great Hall, Memorial Union.
- 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Veishea parade, campus route from the Armory to the Memorial Union, televised live on KCCI-TV (channel 8) at noon.
- 2:30 p.m., Competition, canoe joust, entry fee $10/team, Lake LaVerne.
- 2:30 p.m., Military demonstration, by ISU ROTC students, central campus.
- 3 p.m.-2 a.m., Peformances, "Taste Stage," see April 16.
- 3 p.m., Lecture, "The Visionary George Washington Carver," by Carver biographer Peter Burchard, Pioneer Room, Memorial Union.
- 7:30 p.m. Performance, Stars Over Veishea, see April 16.
- 9 p.m., Performance, "Dew the Rec," David Chappelle, comedian and actor, $10 faculty-staff ticket (limit 2), Lied Center.
- 10 p.m.-2 a.m., Dance party, Harambee, $3, see April 16.
Sunday, April 18
- 8:30 a.m., Tournament, Veishea Golf Classic, four-person best-ball, $100/team, Veenker golf course.
- 10 a.m., Road Race, 5K, walk or run, $15 (registration starts at 8:30 a.m.), north of the Memorial Union.
- 2 p.m., Performance, Stars Over Veishea, see April 16.
- 3 p.m., Closing ceremony, central campus.
