Robert Weeks
Robert Weeks, textbook buyer/supervisor for the University Book Store, died Feb. 24, from complications of a stroke. He was 65. He had been employed with the bookstore for 10 years. Weeks' funeral was held March 1 in Slater. Memorial gifts may be sent to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Slater.
Berardo Valdes
Berardo Valdes, associate professor of foreign languages and literatures, died Jan. 30 after a year-long battle with cancer. He was 61. Valdes joined the faculty in 1971 and was a pioneer in teaching Spanish for business. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
