Carver Capsule

George Washington Carver was a busy Iowa State student. He played piano and several other instruments and was a popular singer. He was active in the student literary group, student militia corps, debate, plays, recitals and readings. To pay for his education, he worked as janitor, launderer, dining hall waiter, gardener and trainer for the football team.
