A retirement reception will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, for three employees of the electrical and computer engineering department: professor Hsung-Cheng Hsieh, professor Curran Swift and electronic technician Al Talkington. The reception will be held in 2222 Coover.

Emery Sobottka

A retirement reception for Emery Sobottka, director of environmental health and safety, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, in the Memorial Union Campanile Room. A short program will begin at 4 p.m. Sobottka has worked at Iowa State for 40 years. Letters for a memory book should be sent by today (Dec. 11) to Rebecca Adair, 125 Beardshear. Please send letters (unfolded) on 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper.

Donald Bjelland

A retirement reception for Donald Bjelland, program coordinator in facilities planning & management, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, in the FP&M conference room, 142 General Services Building. Bjelland has worked in the FP&M department for 21 years.
