Carver Capsule
George Washington Carver was renowned not only as a scientist, but an artist. One of his paintings was hung in the Luxemburg Galleries in Paris. In 1917, he was elected a member of the Royal Society of Arts, London. The paper in his paintings was made from peanut shells, the paints from Alabama earth and the frames, from corn husks.
