ISU faculty receive regents awards
Five Iowa State faculty members received Regents Faculty Excellence Awards at a Board of Regents ceremony in Iowa City Sept. 23. Honored were Ronald Grier, veterinary clinical sciences; Richard Horton, electrical and computer engineering; Richard Larock, chemistry; Mary Littrell, textiles and clothing; and Peter Orazem, economics.
Composing award
Jeffrey Prater, professor of music, has received an ASCAP Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. The cash award, intended to assist and encourage "writers of serious music," is granted by an independent panel to recognize a writer's catalog of original compositions and recent peformances of those works.
