Summer commencement is tomorrow
About 775 Iowa State students will receive degrees during a combined undergraduate/graduate summer commencement ceremony Saturday, Aug. 8. The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. in Hilton Coliseum. No tickets are needed to attend.
Approximately 440 students will receive bachelor's degrees and about 260 students are expected to receive master's degrees. Another 75 doctoral candidates will receive their degrees.
Associate provost Ed Lewis, who announced last spring he will retire from Iowa State in December, will give the commencement address.
Because fewer students graduate at the end of summer term than in the spring or winter, no college programs are scheduled prior to the ceremony at Hilton.
