Carter to lead Pappajohn Center
Steve Carter, interim director of the Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship, has been named the first permanent director of the center. The appointment begins today (May 1).
"Steve has shown strong leadership as interim director and we're confident he can build the Pappajohn Center into a nationally recognized center," said Ben Allen, dean of the College of Business.
The Pappajohn Center is under the umbrella of the College of Business, with the colleges of Agriculture, Engineering and Veterinary Medicine also providing oversight. Established through a $1 million gift from Des Moines' John and Mary Pappajohn, the center helps entrepreneurs and technologists test and develop ideas and products into new or expanded businesses.
