Web expert to lead workshop

Michael Handberg, who helped develop the University of Minnesota's innovative Web-based student services center, will give several presentations Monday, April 20, in the Memorial Union Pioneer Room.

Handberg will start with a general overview of the Minnesota system, which allows students to use the Web to apply for admission, check the availability of classes, register for classes or complete a variety of other tasks. He will follow with sessions designed for those in specific areas and offices. All sessions are open to the campus community.

Handberg is the director of Web development at Minnesota and is leading a team to develop a Web site that integrates all student and human resource services using a customer-focused approach.
