Web expert to lead workshop
Michael Handberg, who helped develop the University of Minnesota's innovative Web-based student services center, will give several presentations Monday, April 20, in the Memorial Union Pioneer Room.
Handberg will start with a general overview of the Minnesota system, which allows students to use the Web to apply for admission, check the availability of classes, register for classes or complete a variety of other tasks. He will follow with sessions designed for those in specific areas and offices. All sessions are open to the campus community.
Schedule:
9-10:30 a.m.: General overview
11 a.m.-noon : Academic services
1:30-2:30 p.m.: Student services
3-4 p.m.: Technical support
Handberg is the director of Web development at Minnesota and is leading a team to develop a Web site that integrates all student and human resource services using a customer-focused approach.
