Register by March 25 for annual P&S luncheon

The Professional and Scientific Council will host its annual roundtable discussion luncheon Wednesday, April 1, in the Memorial Union Campanile Room. The session begins at 11:45 a.m. and wraps up by 1 p.m.

"Working Together Toward Solutions" will include discussion options such as:

Staff members may request other topics for discussion in their registration.

P&S staff members should have received an invitation via e- mail. (Contact your P&S Council representative if you did not.) Registrations are due Wednesday, March 25.

The discussion is free; an optional box lunch may be purchased for $6. Participants also may pack their lunch or purchase one in the food court.

During the March council meeting, Lauri Dusselier spoke at the open forum about ISU's new employee wellness program. Dusselier ("dew-se-LEAR"), hired in December as the first coordinator of the program, is moving into rooms 213-214 in Beyer Hall this week.

Dusselier defined wellness as the integration of a person's physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual and occupational dimensions.

Employees may make appointments with Dusselier now to discuss wellness goals. Computer software that will allow her to do personal fitness assessments will be operational by mid- summer.

The next council meeting begins at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, in the Memorial Union Gold Room.
