College info hotline day is Feb. 1

Iowa State officials will participate in a college information hotline Feb. 1 to help prospective students and their families find answers to admissions and financial aid questions.

College financial aid and admission professionals organized the state-wide hotline, which will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1. Volunteers from the Iowa Assn. of Financial Aid Administrators and the Iowa Assn. for College Admission Counseling will field the calls.

The hotline's toll-free number is 1-800-383-4222.

This is the sixth year of the hotline service. Over the past five years, volunteers have fielded about 450 calls per year.
