Catt Center sponsors student workshop
The Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics will sponsor its fifth annual summer workshop for high school students, July 30-Aug. 2
This year's workshop, "Focus on Tomorrow's Leaders: Making a Difference in Public Policy Issues," is designed to teach high school students about the political system and leadership skills. Twenty-five high school students from throughout the state will participate.
The students analyze a public policy issue; conduct research on the Internet; interact with ISU faculty, ISU student mentors, government officials and community leaders; meet one-on-one with state and local political leaders; and learn speaking styles and strategies.
