WOI may be part of CBS look at gambling
WOI Radio's recent economic roundtable on gambling may be a part of a CBS Sunday Morning story on gambling in Iowa. A CBS crew filmed the Feb. 27 roundtable session, which featured experts on the gambling industry and its regulation and effects on the family. WOI aired the discussion on both AM and FM stations. The CBS piece on gambling in Iowa is tentatively scheduled for March 23. CBS Sunday Morning airs from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Among WOI's roundtable experts was Maurice MacDonald, chair of human development and family studies department at Iowa State. MacDonald discussed recent studies on gambling in Iowa by researchers in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences.
