Presidential Lecture is March 17

Iowa State and the changing world of research will be the topic of the Presidential Lecture given by James Duderstadt at 8 p.m. Monday, March 17, in the Memorial Union Sun Room.

Duderstadt is president emeritus and university professor of science and engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

He currently directs the Millennium Project, a research center concerned with the impact of information technology on the future of higher education.

He has been deeply involved in the national research agenda and chaired the National Science Board that reports directly to President Bill Clinton.

A reception will follow Duderstadt's talk.
