Conversation with the President
The next Conversation with the President will be held
Thursday, Feb. 27. The breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. in the
Memorial Union Regency Room. Breakfast may be purchased in
the Commons. Coffee and tea are provided. For reservations,
call 4-2042.
College for Seniors
College for Seniors spring semester runs March 17 through
May 5. Eight-week classes are offered Mondays and Tuesdays,
and two four-week courses are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays
through April 10. Classes cost $40 ($20 for each additional
class). A spring convocation begins at 3 p.m. Monday, March
3, in 220 Scheman, preceded by a 2:30 p.m. social time. For

Dialogues in Diversity series designed for faculty and
staff
A series of programs aimed at building a welcoming climate
for diversity on campus and designed especially for
administrators, faculty, staff and graduate students will
begin in March. "Dialogues on Diversity" will be offered in a
three-part series, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 18, April 1 and
April 15. A buffet-style lunch, featuring an ethnic dish,
will be provided at each meeting. To register, call 4-8914.
CLEP testing on campus
Iowa State is now a site for the national College Level
Examination Program (CLEP), the most widely accepted, credit-
by-examination program in the country. ISU and non-ISU
students can take the CLEP exams on campus. Exams will be
given March through June. The service is coordinated through
the Student Coun-seling Service Testing Office, 373 Student
Services Building.
Senate elections
Nominations for Faculty Senate college-at-large positions
are due to Floyd Manwiller, Faculty Senate Office, 103 Lab of
Mechanics, by Friday, Feb. 28. Senate seats are open in the
colleges of Agriculture, Business, Design, Engineering and
Liberal Arts and Sciences. Nomination forms are available
from departmental offices or the senate office. Results of
recent departmental elections are available online through
the Faculty Senate homepage.
