Faculty and staff are invited to the 17th annual Minority Student Affairs recognition banquet, from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Scheman. Faculty and staff tickets are $11.50 and available from minority liaison officers in each college or the Minority Student Affairs Office, 301 Beardshear, 4-6338.

Project Aware proposals for next year are due April 15 in the Center for Teaching Excellence, 204 Lab of Mechanics. Project Aware is a competitive program sponsored by the center and the Provost's Office. Its goal is to help faculty promote internation-alization and multicultural awareness and create a climate in classrooms and depart-ments that is open to diversity. Faculty in the program are relieved of teaching responsibilities for a semester to allow them time to carry out their proposals. Program funds go to the participants' departments to cover the cost of lost teaching time.

The annual Spring Swing dance will be held from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 23, in the Memorial Union Great Hall. A ballroom introdution lesson will begin at 7 p.m. The dance is sponsored by the ISU Ballroom Dance Club.

The evening will feature Big-Band-era music by the ISU Jazz Ensembles.

"Solar Aid," a benefit concert for the ISU solar car project, will begin at 9 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at People's Bar & Grill. The Nadas and Flora will play. Admission is $3. For more information, call 4-0899.
