Sesquicentennial plans sought

Faculty, staff and students are getting involved in Iowa's sesquicentennial celebration in a variety of ways. This year's Veishea celebration will be built around the state's 150th birthday. Steve Coon, journalism and mass communication associate professor, has received an Iowa Sesquicentennial Research Grant to study Iowa's early Latino population. There are many examples of Iowa State's contributions to this milestone.

University Relations is interested in hearing about other ways the ISU community is involved in the sesquicentennial. Please send information to Steve Sullivan, News Service, 113 Communications Bldg.; phone, 4-3720; e-mail,
