Next 'Women in Touch' seminar announced The Women in Touch series continues with a luncheon seminar from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, in the Memorial Union Sun Room. The topic will be "Washington Update: Passed and Pending Legislation Affecting the Status of Iowa Women." Speakers will include Diane Liepa, deputy state administrator for Sen. Tom Harkin, and Jill Hegstrom, press secretary for Sen. Charles Grassley. Recipients of the 1995 Carrie Chapman Catt award also will be honored. The award recognizes significant contributions toward the achievement of sex equity on the ISU campus or within the Ames community. This year's recipients are: --Lois Jacobson, secretary in political science --Geraldine Montag, professor of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering --Lia Pierson, student in chemical engineering --Amy Wintheiser, student in anthropology.
