Announcements LAKESIDE COURSES Each summer, Iowa Lakeside Laboratory, located on West Okoboji Lake, offers several hands-on, field-oriented courses for undergraduate and graduate students. Courses are offered in the natural sciences (archaeology, ecology, evolution, geology and taxonomy). Classes meet five days a week for three to five weeks, with one credit given for each week of class. Credit can be obtained through any of the three state universities. FULBRIGHT PROGRAM The deadline to apply for 1996-97 Fulbright awards is Aug. 1. Fulbrights offer faculty, professionals and teachers an opportunity to conduct research, teach or study abroad. Openings exist in almost every area of arts, humanities, social sciences, natural and applied sciences, and professional fields such as business, journalism and law. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Fulbright program. A celebration and panel discussion on the Fulbright program will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, in the Memorial Union Gallery.
