Two finalists for the Iowa State presidency were announced this week by the search committee. Steven Leath, vice president for research and sponsored programs for the University of North Carolina System, Chapel Hill, and Kumble Subbaswamy, provost of the University of Kentucky, Lexington, will be on campus this week. Each will meet with university constituencies and participate in an open forum.
Recipients of university and regent awards will be honored and president Gregory Geoffroy will outline priorities for the academic year ahead during the annual fall convocation Sept. 26 (3:15 p.m., MU Sun Room).
Tearoom take-out service
Meals, cookies and a la carte menu items now are available to go during the Tearoom's lunch hour, Tuesdays through Fridays during the school year. The facility, located in 23 MacKay Hall, is operated by HRI 380 students.
