Dueling pianos to perform at Reiman rose festival

This year's Rose Festival at Reiman Gardens will feature a Saturday evening performance. Midnight Ivory, a dueling pianos show, will perform June 19 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. in the Garden Room. Des Moines musicians Roxi Copland and Chris Ranallo will entertain guests with song and special requests. Tickets are $35 ($30 for members), or pay just $25 if you purchase a membership. Call 4-2710 to RSVP. A cash bar and appetizers will be available, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday's Rose Festival (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) features more live music, a rose sale (9 a.m.) and the Iowa Rose Society's annual show (1-4 p.m.). Morning (9:30-11:30 a.m.) and afternoon (1:30-3:30 p.m.) watercolor painting classes also will be offered; registration and payment ($35 public, $28 member, $21 students) is required in advance.
