In a June 11 Board of Regents meeting, ISU President Gregory Geoffroy described how ISU will meet FY10 budget reductions. Budget-cutting measures will include elimination of some positions.

Cool it at the Lied Center

Work on installing air conditioning and ventiliation improvements at the Lied Center is scheduled to start June 8. The facility will remain open to users, and recreation services staff plan to communicate daily changes or interruptions.

New Deal was a good deal for ISU

Iowa State's public works of art program sprang from an earlier stimulus package -- Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal program in the '30s.
