Research VP candidate open forums set

Finalists in the search for ISU's next vice president for research and economic development have been identified. Names of the finalists will be announced Oct. 27.

Open forums will be conducted from 2 to 3:30 p.m. during the campus interviews. Dates and locations for the forums are:

  • Thursday, Oct. 30, 1115 Pearson
  • Monday, Nov. 3, Howe auditorium
  • Thursday, Nov. 6, Cardinal Room, Memorial Union

Alex King, director of the U.S. Department of Energy's Ames Laboratory, is chair of the search committee charged with finding the next vice president. The successful candidate will replace John Brighton, who retired in May. Ted Okiishi, emeritus professor in mechanical engineering, is serving as interim vice president.
