April 27, 2007 Wintersteen, Pollard will lead ISU United Way campaignJamie Pollard, director of athletics, and Wendy Wintersteen, dean of the College of Agriculture, are campus leaders for the 2007 ISU United Way of Story County campaign. Pollard said that ISU employees who make a United Way donation will receive four free tickets to the Iowa State vs. Iowa women's basketball game in December (date TBA) and a Cyclone lapel pin. Each campus unit also will receive a basketball signed by coaches Greg McDermott and Bill Fennelly and four tickets to a men's basketball game as incentive prizes for their employees to make a donation. In 2006, United Way of Story County raised $1,391,271, with ISU contributing nearly 20 percent of the total. The 2007 ISU campaign will begin with the kickoff on Sept. 6 at 8 a.m. in the Memorial Union Campanile Room. |
