Tom Vilsack appointed Carla Espinoza, associate vice president for business and finance (human resource services), to the Iowa Commission on the Status of Women. Espinoza will fill out a 4-year term that expires April 30, 2006. Architecture merit awardThe Ann Campbell Transit Station in the Iowa State Center parking lots has earned its designers, Conway + Schulte Architects, Minneapolis, a 2005 Merit Award from American Institute of Architects Minneapolis. The award program assesses design, technical innovation, environmental responsibility, budget success and community impact. Communications awardReiman Gardens This Week newsletter received the 2005 Technical Marketing Award at the Iowa Tourism Conference. It was selected for outstanding e-newsletter design and information, ease of use and measurable success. The newsletter, in a permission-based HTML-format, is sent to more than 2,800 people in and out of state. |
