In the home stretchWork progresses this summer on a $12.5 million renovation of Buchanan Hall, which includes two additions to the residence facility. Most of the east (9-story) wing is scheduled for completion in mid-August, with rooms on the last two floors in the wing available to students by Sept. 1. The south addition (pictured), which adds lounges and kitchenettes to each floor, also will be open by Sept. 1. The west (4-story) wing will open Oct. 1, and a new one-story commons addition on the north side of the building is scheduled for completion in December. Buchanan Hall will be home to upper division undergraduate students and graduate students. Photo by Bob Elbert. |
