Learn to order online from bookstore

A training session on ordering supplies online from the University Book Store will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, in 89 Durham. Registration is online via AccessPlus: https://accessplus.iastate.edu/frontdoor/login.jsp (click on professional development register).

Photography contest sponsored by garden group

Amateur photographers are invited to enter the second annual Reiman Gardens Photo Contest, sponsored by the CoHorts. Entry deadline is Aug. 1. Entry forms and contest rules are available at the gardens' front desk or online (http://www.reimangardens.iastate.edu).

Online Web accessibility training in June

Campus Web developers can take a good online course in early June on how to make Web pages accessible. The course ($25) is offered through WebAIM (http://www.webaim.org/events/symposium), a well-known Web accessibility project at Utah State University.

Web usability session May 27 at UNI

ISU Web designers are invited to a free one-day session May 27 on designing usable Web sites at the University of Northern Iowa. Usability expert Christine Perfetti will speak. Tornado researchers on Talk

ISU tornado researchers Bill Gallus, Fred Haan and Partha Sarkar will join President Gregory Geoffroy during the 9 a.m. hour on Talk of Iowa on Thursday, June 10. The live, call-in program airs locally on WOI-AM (640).
