Line brings holiday show to Stephens
The audience is likely to show up for "A Christmas Classique," by pianist
Lorie Line and her pop chamber orchestra, with bells on -- or at least in
hand.
Line has a tradition during her show of dividing the audience in half and
challenging the two sides to sing Jingle Bells the loudest. Once,
after a close call on the winner, she suggested that the audience should
bring bells to make more noise. The next year, that's exactly what happened,
and has continued to happen each year.
The show features an art deco stage set, dazzling costumes and, of course,
holiday music. Line tours with her own custom-made grand piano and a crystal
chandelier from her home.
The show begins at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at Stephens Auditorium. Tickets
are $29.50 to $46.50 and available at the ISU Center box office. For more
information, call 4-3347.
