Network application upgrades will affect Mac OS 9 users
In response to increasing security needs, AIT will upgrade several network applications so that Net-ID/password authentication will be allowed only over encrypted connections (including those to "isua.iastate.edu" servers). The upgrade is scheduled to take effect Jan. 6, 2004. The changes will affect Mac OS 9 users. More information is online at http://www.ait.iastate.edu/showitem.php?id=153.

Old phone books can be recycled
Rather than toss your old phone books (ISU directory, McLeodUSA and QuestDex), you can recycle them. Drop them at a pick-up spot (usually in your building). Volunteers will pick up the old books Dec. 6. More info: http://www.fpm.iastate.edu/recycling/announcements.asp.
