It's Mo . . . and it's free
Comedian Mo Rocca brings his straight-faced delivery to Stephens Auditorium
Thursday, Sept. 4, for a free 8 p.m. show. Rocca perhaps is best known for
his tongue-in-cheek reports as a news correspondent on The Daily Show
with Jon Stewart. The program airs weeknights on the Comedy Central
cable channel. Rocca and his Daily Show colleagues were named
Rolling Stone magazine's "People of the Year" in 2000.
Rocca also appeared recently on VH1's I Love the '80s show. Other
credits include regular slots on NPR's Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, and
the Major League Baseball Web-radio show, World Domination w/ Larry &
Mo, as well as frequent appearances on CNN and FoxNews.
Rocca has a B.A. from Harvard University and resides in New York City. His
performance is Iowa State's annual free comedy show for the university
community, sponsored by the Lectures Program to open fall semester.
