Commencement speakers announced for May 9-10
Gov. Tom Vilsack will speak at Iowa State's undergraduate commencement
ceremony on Saturday, May 10. Vilsack, serving in his second term as
governor, is a former Iowa senator and mayor of Mt. Pleasant. The ceremony
begins at 1:30 p.m. in Hilton Coliseum.
Vice provost for Extension and Charles F. Curtiss Distinguished Professor in
Agriculture Stan Johnson will speak at the graduate ceremony Friday evening,
May 9, at C.Y. Stephens. Des Moines gynecologic oncologist and Board of
Regents, State of Iowa, member Deborah Turner will speak at the College of
Veterinary Medicine ceremony. It begins at noon May 10, also in Stephens.
