NPR CEO to give campus lecture
Kevin Klose, president and CEO of National Public Radio, will be on campus
in December. Klose is a former editor and national and foreign correspondent
with The Washington Post, and an award-winning author.
He will discuss "Public Radio in a Changing World" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec.
3, in the Brunnier Museum, Scheman.
He also will discuss "Reorganization of U.S.-funded International
Broadcasting Organizations" during an open forum from 2:10 to 3 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 4, in 205 Carver. He will talk about how he developed and
implemented a strategy to coordinate several international broadcasting
organizations to save money and modernize operations.
Klose will help celebrate 80 years of broadcasting with WOI Radio during the
sign-on of WOI's newest station, KWOI (90.7 FM), in Carroll on Dec. 3.
