On the scene
Gilman Hall was the scene of a disaster response exercise July 11 as local
police, health and environmental agencies responded to a simulated chemical
release. The exercise began about 8 a.m. with a call to department of
public safety for medical assistance. As the scenario developed, "victims"
were evacuated, decontaminated and treated. Nearly 200 people, including ISU
environmental health and safety staff, participated in the exercise, which
