ISU Foundation names interim president
by ISU Foundation staff
Peg Armstrong-Gustafson, owner and founder of Amson Technology, West Des
Moines, became the ISU Foundation interim president on June 3. She succeeds
Tom Mitchell, who left ISU to become vice chancellor of university
advancement at the University of California, Irvine.
Armstrong-Gustafson was a former senior executive at Pioneer Hi-Bred
International. She and her husband, Gregg, founded Amson Technology in 2000.
Armstrong-Gustafson has a B.S. in animal science from ISU and an MBA from
Drake University. She became an ISU Foundation governor in 1997, joined the
foundations board of directors in 2001 and chairs that boards investment
committee. She has served on the ISU Athletic Council and the athletic
directors advisory board. She and her husband received the ISU Foundation
Order of the Knoll Young Alumni Award in 1999.
