Deaths
Susan McBride
Susan McBride, associate professor of human development
and family studies, died Nov. 7 in Denver, Colo., from
complications related to cancer. She had been with Iowa State
since 1989. A remembrance celebration will be held at 4:30
p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the Unitarian Fellowship of Ames,
1015 N. Hyland Ave. Gifts to a fund established in her name
may be sent to the ISU Foundation.
Elmer Klemke
Elmer Klemke, professor emeritus of philosophy and
religious studies, died Oct. 27 in Ames of a heart attack. He
was 74. He retired from Iowa State in 1997. A memorial
concert will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, in the
Memorial Union Sun Room.
