Student alumni groups acquire new names
An old group has a new name. The Student Alumni Association has become the Student Alumni Leadership Council. For the past 27 years, the group has organized popular student events such as Homecoming, Family Weekend and Lil' Sibs Weekend.
Adding the word "leadership" accurately reflects this group of about 100 students, said Dave Critchlow, assistant director of student programs and the group's adviser.
The membership program, currently made up of 2,900 students who receive benefits for their $15 annual dues, has also changed its name. Formerly called the Collegiate Alumni Association, its new name is the Student Alumni Association.
