Hilton chair to give lecture in May

Louis Grivetti, a University of California expert on how geography and culture affect food choices, has been named to the Dean Helen LeBaron Hilton Endowed Chair for spring 2000. He will be on campus through June 2.

Grivetti's research focuses on how human diets change and the nutritional impacts of human behavior. While at ISU, Grivetti will give public lectures examining the origins of various foods, such as chocolate and wine, and their nutritional significance to the American diet. His lectures are free and open to the public.

His next lecture will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, at Reiman Gardens. He will speak on "Wine: Good for the Heart -- Good For the Soul."
