Deaths
Esther Sucher
Esther Sucher, 96, died Jan. 9 in Florida. She retired
in 1967 after 37 years at Iowa State as an art design
instructor.
Henry Crooks
Henry Crooks, 85, Dows, died Feb. 7 in Mason City of
heart failure. He was a former custodian at Iowa State,
retiring in 1978.
Sharon Mathes
Sharon Mathes, professor of health and human performance,
died Feb. 7 of cancer. She had been on the faculty since
1971. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb.
20, in the Memorial Union Sun Room. Contributions to the
Sharon A. Mathes Memorial Fund may be sent to the ISU
Foundation, Alumni Suite, Memorial Union.
